HROPSYS, a cross functional event of HR, Operations and Systems was held at Chetana’s Institute of Management and Research, Bandra  on 14th September, 2017. The theme of the event was “Integrate, Innovate and Motivate”. Dr Madhumita Patil welcomed the Chief Guest Mr Nirmal Kumar Deshmukh and other dignitaries. Mr Deshmukh enlightened us about innovation in Housing, Retail, Logistic and Healthcare. He briefed us about the concept of “Available to Promise (ATP)” a business function that provides response to customer order enquiries based on resource availability. The first panel discussion on ‘Real Estate & Infrastructure Sector’ witnessed some veterans from the industry. The eminent panellists discussed the impact of Real Estate Sector on India’s GDP.  The second panel discussion gave us an overview of how the introduction of technology is changing the retail scenario and how industry is getting ready to bridge the skill gap. The third and concluding panel discussion was on the Health Care Industry. The distinguished panelists focussed on the growth of Pharma Industry in India and reasons for low innovation quotient in India. All the panelists firmly believed that ‘medicine must be for people and not for profit’. The day long deliberations reiterated the fact that ‘integrate, innovate and motivate’ is the way forward.
