INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

Chetana’s Institute of Management & Research (CIMR) celebrated the 5th International Yoga Day on 21st June 2019. Around 60 enthusiastic teaching and non-teaching staff assembled in the CIMR auditorium to attend the yoga session, conducted by Ms. Seva Rangnekar.

Ms. Rangnekar introduced the audience to the concept of yoga and the techniques various Asanas & Mudras. The simple and easy-to-practice techniques were lucidly explained using PPT presentation followed by a practice session. She spoke on the importance of practicing Pranayamas and breathing exercises. The session included a brief introduction of various techniques of Mudras. Some of the Asanas, Pranayam and Mudras introduced were: Tadasana, Hastapadasana, Parivartita, Chakrasana, Padmasana, Padmasanastha Yoga Mudra, Parvatasana, Anulom-Vilom Pranayam, Kapalbhati, Apan Mudra, Vyan Mudra, Surya Mudra, Vaat Mudra, Kapha Mudra, etc.

The instructor guided the participants all through 60 min session and the entire day was positive and energetic. Yoga should be a way of life, which means there should be a discipline in thinking, acting & speaking. Yoga classes are regularly conducted for students through Health & Wellness session, only to make young budding Managers Industry ready.
